The 20th ICTPA Annual Meeting was held in Los Angeles, California, USA. Some 200
delegates and accompanying persons from USA, China Mainland, Taiwan, Hong-kong
and Singapore enjoyed Southern California hospitality.
Opening Ceremony was held on Sunday morning, May 27 inviting VIPs from Los Angeles
political/business circles and Professors from China Mainland and Taiwan. In his keynote
address to ICTPA delegates, Mr. Luke Cheng, VP of Citilabs, spoke about the vision and
courage required to build a safe, secure, sustainable, and efficient transportation system
and balance mobility/social/environmental goals for developing new strategies, new
methods, and new technologies.
There were eleventh working sessions to exchange ideas and discuss challenges,
ranging in topics from funding, planning, design to construction, maintenance,
and management for all types of transportation facilities (aviation, port
and harbor, highway, railroad, etc.) and heard from distinguished speakers City of Los
Angeles Planning Commissioner Michael Woo. In addition, there are two discussion
panel focusing on Creating a New Era For Transportation from Views from Different
Regions and Different Disciplines.
