ACTIVITIES & TALKS
"Since the last report, we are pleased to report that we have an additional 4 new
members, making a total of 45 members in the Hong Kong Chapter. To support
the Chongqing Conference, theHong Kong Chapter has submitted 5 technical
papers for consideration. The subject matter covers a range of topics, including
cross border train services between Hong Kong and China, managing cross
harbor tunnel performance in Hong Kong, safety management systems for
transportation industry, managing car parkingassets as well as waterproofing
technology in metro tunnels. We also anticipate that 10 ICTPA members will go
and support the Chongqing Conference from Hong Kong.
We celebrated the new year with a seminar on innovative track work by Mr Peter
Slack, the director in Chun Wo Construction Company on 6 January. We chose
the seminar venue to be in a small winery in Hong Kong. Members enjoyed the
winery owner explained the fundamentals of wine making. Enclosed please find
some photos of that evening.
Looking forward, we are planning the next technical seminar in March/April
timeframe. We shall also consider a spring get together for our annual general
meeting and celebration of our first anniversary."
