Secretary
Mr. Corey Wong is a Senior Transportation Planner for Arup in San Francisco.
He has nearly 10 years of international and domestic experience for both
public and private sector clients. His focus has been on transit service
planning and operations, transit corridor studies, transit/mobility strategies,
urban transport policy and planning.

Prior to Arup, Corey worked in Tokyo, Japan for six years for PADECO, an
international development firm working with multi-national lending institutions
such as the Inter-American Development Bank and the European Bank for
Reconstruction and Development. Corey has a Master’s in Transport Planning
from MIT.

Communications Chair
Mr. Gary Hsueh is a Transportation Planner for Arup in San Francisco and has
more than 8 years of experience working on a variety of land use planning,
urban design, and transportation planning projects. His focus at Arup is on the
multi-modal aspects of transportation planning and integration with land use,
while his breadth of project work includes transit corridor studies, wayfinding
and signage, environmental analysis, and GIS mapping and graphics
production. Prior to joining Arup, Gary worked in the planning departments at
the Bay Area cities of Benicia and Pittsburg, CA.

Gary is a cyclist and transit aficionado. He recently discovered the enjoyment
of touring cities by bicycle during his vacations, in addition to using and
learning about public transit.

Student Liaison
Mr. Thomas Wong is an undergraduate student in civil engineering
department at UC Berkeley. His transportation interests vary, however, he has
written a paper focusing on pedestrian safety and mobility, and is currently
facilitating a course on sustainable transportation.

Student Liaison
Mr. Francis Chen is a 2nd year undergraduate at UC Berkeley studying civil
engineering and minoring in city planning. His passions lie in strengthening
the connection between transportation and land use, with an interest in bicycle
& pedestrian planning & safety, and the historic preservation of urban
communities. He hopes to pursue a dual Master's degree program in city
planning and public health or transportation engineering.

Currently, he also serves as the UC Berkeley ITE Student Chapter's publicity
officer. In his free time, he performs in Theatre Rice!, UC Berkeley's Modern
Asian American Theater group.
